Smart 451 - Reset the service indicator

After a certain mileage, the Smart starts annoying a reminder of the inspection due in the form of a wrench on the display.

These can be deleted as follows:

(The doors of the car must be closed!)

1. Switch on the ignition (do not start the engine, only the ignition)

2. Call up the inspection display by pressing the left button twice

3. Switch off the ignition and very quickly press and hold the left button and switch on the ignition again. Keep the left button pressed and wait until the display changes to the normal kilometers.

The inspection reminder should have been reset now and will not light up until the next due date.
